Closing Hymn “Lord, You Have Come to the Lakeshore” Hymnal #721
Words and Music by Cesareo Gabarain
1) Lord, you have come to the lakeshore looking neither for wealthy nor wise ones;
you only asked me to follow humbly.
Refrain: O Lord, with your eyes you have searched me,
and while smiling have spoken my name;
now my boat’s left on the shoreline behind me.
By your side I will seek other seas.
2) You know so well my possessions; my boat carries no gold and no weapons;
you will find there my nets and labor. Refrain
3) You need my hands, full of caring, through my labors to give others rest
and constant love that keeps on loving. Refrain
4) You, who have fished other oceans, ever longed for by souls who are waiting,
my loving friend, as thus you call me: Refrain

The love and sympathy of the congregation is extended to family and friends of Terry Ann Hayes in her passing on Sunday, May 8, 2022. She died peacefully and “the way she wanted to” at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson. Her memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. at North Anderson Community Church, Presbyterian. Mike Johnston will lead the service and give time for folks to share their memories of Terry Ann. Afterward, we will have a potluck meal, one of Terry Ann’s favorite church activities.
On Sunday, May 22, 2022, at 3:00 PM, the RoseWind Duo will play at Saint Andrew Catholic Church, 209 Sloan Street in downtown Clemson. Their concert will feature saxophone and percussion (including marimba!) - a combo you may never have heard before. The concert is free and parking is easy.
