North Anderson works closely with this organization, which has strong ties with our church family. The CDCA works with local Nicaraguan farmers, artisans, and families to improve the quality of life for everyone through fair wages and medical care. NACCP provides financial support and also participates in mission trips supporting the mission of CDCA.
So much more than a church, South Main Chapel and Mercy Center provides an inclusive place of worship as well as a place of refuge for people in need. NACCP works with South Main throughout the year to provide food, warm clothing, and fellowship.
AID upstate is a non-profit organization that provides support services, advocacy, education, and awareness to people affect by HIV/AIDS in Anderson, Greenville, Oconee, and Pickens counties.
Being an Earth Care Congregation is a distinction given by PC (USA) to churches that act in ways that truly make them stewards of the earth.
The Legacy Fund began when our labyrinth was built for the church’s 40th anniversary. As the fund grew, the church decided to focus this money on a signature ministry that would reach out into the community. Annual events such as our “Three Nights of Nature” as well as other gatherings that benefit our community have been supported through the fund.
This program is designed to help alleviate the hunger problem within the Anderson Community for those residents in temporary need or who are receiving SNAP benefits. AIM’s food pantry assists an average of 35+ people each day, totaling around 10,000 families a year. Households may receive assistance once each month. Families are assisted in the food pantry Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.-11:30 a.m, or by appointment for persons who have verifiable work schedules or medical conditions that prevent them from visiting during standard operating hours.
In coordination with Palmetto Pride, Keep South Carolina Beautiful, Keep Anderson County Beautiful and SC DOT, NACCP adopted 2 miles of Highway 178, north of the church and south of the church. Periodically, clean-up activities are scheduled. Let us know if you are interested in helping out!
This special offering collected throughout the Lenten season. Our donations join donations collected from Presbyterian churches throughout the country to support Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, Presbyterian Hunger Program, and Self Development of People.
