Sermon         “The Power of Waiting”            Dr. Keith Ray

Theme:  In a world that celebrates busyness, instant gratification, and full schedules, Jesus’ instructions to his followers to wait may offer a corrective or an affirmation regarding our own balance in our lives (and in the life of our church).  Waiting can be a source of clarity and strength.  How are you with waiting?  Let’s talk about it on Sunday morning!  Shalom to you.

This a final reminder that Saturday will be our Garden Party Day at NACCP.  We are recruiting as many “interested parties” as possible to help us with gardening at 4200 Liberty Highway.  We have lots of different types of gardens and will arrange a “good fit” for anyone who will join us.  If you have a favorite garden tool (or tools) bring it (them).  If you have no garden tools and do not know anything about gardening, we will provide tools and instruction.

Cynthia will arrive early (by 7:30) because she likes to work during the cooler part of the day.  If you prefer to begin work later, we will be happy to see you whenever you arrive!  Sharon promises pizza for all who are around at noon.
